DESCRIPTION

SikaPaver AE 1 is an efflorescence reducer with simultaneously plasticising effect especially for brilliant
coloured semi-dry concrete precast elements.

CHARACTERISTICS / ADVANTAGES

SikaPaver AE 1 causes in semi-dry concrete mixes:
▪ Better dispersion and wetting of cement, additives
and pigments
▪ Lower frictional forces between cement and aggregates
▪ Introduction of smallest, evenly distributed air pores
▪ A considerable hydrophobic effect by increasing the
surface tension to the water

This creates the following advantages with fresh concrete:
▪ Stronger compactability, which allows for example
achieving shorter cycle times or higher concrete
densities
▪ Reduced adhesion between the top-layer and the
tamper head (anti-sticking effect)
▪ increased green strength (shape keeping) after immediate de-molding

SikaPaver AE 1 enables an economic production of
high-quality concrete products with:
▪ Improved density and strength
▪ Smooth flanks and surfaces
▪ Reduced capillary suction
▪ Uniforme and intense colour of the concrete
▪ Reduced efflorescence tendency
▪ Increased resistance to freezing/thawing and deicing salts
▪ Lower fluctuation of quality and therefore less 2nd
grade products
